Open Data Day 2016 – Call for Participation

YoungInnovations in collaboration with Open Nepal is organizing Open Data Day 2016 in Kathmandu College of Management (KCM), Gwarko, on March 5, 2016 (Saturday) from 8:00 AM onwards.

Open Data Day

Open Data Day is a yearly event celebrated across the globe that brings together organizations and citizens to write applications, liberate data, create visualization and publish analysis using open public data. The event is organized to show support for and encourage the adoption of open data policies by local, regional and national governments. The theme for this year is ‘Using Data to Solve Real Problems in Nepal’.

The main objective of this event is to assist tackling challenges like; migration, procurement/contracts, public health, government budget, earthquake, renewable energy in Nepal.

This is a great opportunity to learn from the experts in this field. You will collaborate with like minded people with more experience. Either way, this will definitely be an experience you’d want to brag about later! Besides Open Data Hackathon, you will have other opportunities if you attend the event on Saturday. Participation is free of cost but you need to Sign up for the event to participate in hackathon and know more about it.
