It’s our daily routine to go to foreign music streaming platform i.e Soundcloud, Spotify etc. and listen to the music. Now, it’s time to love the creations of our own fresh Nepali artists, where they not only get platform to promote their songs, but also get paid when you listen to their songs. So, it’s a win-win situation. Isn’t it?
Three computer engineers; Mr. Aayush Shrestha, Mr. Ashok Basnet and Mr. Bibek Subedi, were brainstorming and working 24/7 on the idea to promote the Nepali artists and to get closer in generating the business value. It’s a tough journey from class projects to impacting the wider users. Finally, facing all the technical challenges. They build a web app and gave life to their idea in 1st of Baisakh 2072.
With the increasing use of a smartphone and an app, the team thought to cater your music listening experience and make it even more convenient by presenting the Lishn app. It is the first Nepali music streaming platform, where users get to listen to music by Nepali musicians for free and artists get paid every time their song is played.
So, today, I am going to discuss about this cool app. Without much further ado, let’s get started.
User Interface / User Experience (UI / UX): 
The UI looks promising and encouraging. In the context of UX, streaming the music is quite smooth in low internet connection too. But, there is some sort of work needed to enhance the Lishn Music Player. Also, love to have login features and let users play with customization like; creating playlists, content upload and analytics. You know what I mean. Don’t you?
Features:

- Various categories such as: Trending this week, Most popular songs, Mix it up and lots more
- Interactive sticky notification that lets you know which song is being played and also control the music player
- Lock Screen Controls that let you control the music player even when the screen is locked
- Widest collections of fresh songs from local artists with their album
- Search your desired music within the app
But, when I talked with one of the founder of Lishn App, they have great features in pipeline to impress you. So, sit tight fellows.
Usability:
Time and requirements are always dynamic and we need to adjust it accordingly. So, with music streaming platform, it’s a win-win situation. On one hand, you as a user can listen the fresh music for free and on the other hand, local artists would get some revenue after you listened to their music. Not only that, it will somehow solve the music piracy that we are facing these days.

Visualizing the future markets of the music streaming platform, I think Lishn has a great potential to make the impact and redefine the Nepali Music Industry. Keeping in this mind. I want to give some feedback on it, which are as follows:
