Now, let me go straight to the topic. You may be wondering what are those Nepali apps that got selected in mBillionth South Asia Award Finalists 2016. Then, here goes the list of Nepali apps under different category:
Business & Commerce
Those Apps that seeks to identify and compliment mobile applications that support optimization of business processes are awarded under this category. Two Nepali apps got selected which are:
NEPSE app, which provides daily updates on the stock exchange market along with total turnovers, top traded shares, total transactions and many other features with just a few clicks. Talking about its features; Live trading data from 12pm to 3pm, Summary section; which shows the graphical movement of Nepse for different sectors where users can choose from time variations starting from a single day to a year and lots more.
TAXpert app, which aims to solve your tax queries, business news, salary tax calculator, TDS calculator, Notification about due date of Tax and VAT repayment, and ask Tax Expert to solve tax related problems etc. It is a complete solution app, which is related to Nepal Tax and Act of Nepal. This app can be essential as well as informative for young aspiring entrepreneurs to start their own business in Nepal legally and to know about TAX Act of Nepal.
Early Stage
Early stage, is a new category which has been created keeping in mind the fast growing start-up space. Under this category, polyTricks app got selected as finalists of mBillionth Award South Asia, which is a 3D Endless Runner game based on social, cultural, natural and political aspects of Nepal. It’s gaming interface somehow looks like; Subway Surfer and Temple Run. But, it has got some Nepali touch; specially the dress – Daura Suruwal, Topi and lots more.
Learning & Education
This category recognizes the use of mobile applications that empower the education sector and serve the needs of learners to acquire knowledge and skills. Under this category, TeachApp got selected, which provides a platform to access teaching resources on your smartphone and connect with the British Council in Nepal.
