1. Similar News:
If you notice the previous update of Hamro Patro. They were focused more on updating the “NEWS” section. So, in this update. Team of Hamro Patro introduces “Nepali News Mining Engine” which is powered by Machine Learning Algorithms. With this innovative Nepali News Mining Engine release, you can find the list of similar news to the one you are reading. For instance; If you are reading news related to “Apps”, then Hamro Patro system will generate list of similar news as a suggestion.
Interacting with BlogorTech, Mr. Shankar Uprety, Founder & CEO at Hamro Patro, said “Our team was excited to launch a mining engine, which is specially crafted to understand the Nepali Language and our engineers did a lot of back end work to add “Similar News” feature. The accuracy of this engine is approximately 90% at this time and our engineering team is continuously working to further improvise this system. We hope our user will find this feature useful to know more about the news that they care about.”
2. Panchanga:
Information related to Nepal Sambat, Daily Sunrise, Sunset, Moon Rise and Moon set time have been added in this update. Considering the accuracy of Panchanga, Hamro Patro partnered with Mr. Raghunath Dhungel, one the pioneer computer programmer of Nepal, best known for his Bhaghchal game and probably the first Nepali computer game. Now, panchanga in Hamro Patro is based on his highly accurate astrology software.

3. Adaptive Image Quality:
As we all know, lower quality image has lower size and image load faster even in slow network and vice-versa. With this new update, quality of the image will be automatically adjusted according to your connection. For instance; Low quality image will be served instead of high quality image depending upon the network connection i.e 2G or 3G. Also, you can manually edit the settings for saving the data which has been shown below:
4. Tarkari Bazar:
Now, Hamro Patro user can see the updated retail and wholesale price of seasonal vegetables and fruits as determined by Kalimati Bazar Samiti.
5. Widget Update:
Load shedding information has been added in Today’s and Notification Widget.
